This site is dedicated to the memory of Lynne Crozier to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association

The words below come from an Obituary in the Guardian 'Other Lives' section, published on Friday 21st June, 2013, which was Motor Neurone Disease Global Awareness Day. Lynne Crozier was born in Streatham on March 02, 1946. Motor Neurone Disease has ended the life of my beautiful sister-in-law Lynne Crozier and she was defiant right to the end. Brought up in Streatham, she lived with her parents and 2 younger brothers, Ian and Derek. She trained at Vidal Sassoon and was selected with a friend for the first issue cover of ‘Petticoat’ magazine on 19th February, 1966, embodying the vitality of the times. In her early 20’s after a short spell in Vancouver Canada, she returned to London to become engaged to fashion entrepreneur Marshall Lester. This was short lived and she went on to marry Ashley Brodin producing 3 sons, Darren, Gavin and Simon. They divorced and Lynne returned to work pioneering the Lena White OPI acrylic nail system whilst continuing to bring up her sons with a strong work ethic. She then met the film sound recordist David Crozier at a party organised by friends. They fell in love and married. Lynne often joined David on location becoming part of the ‘crew’. She was so beautiful and fun-loving that once you met her you didn’t forget her. She was 65 when the diagnosis of Bulbar Motor Neurone Disease was confirmed. Undefeated, she embarked on a ‘holiday of a lifetime’ to visit IndoChina with David, returning to host many evenings at the beautiful home they had lovingly redesigned always starting with her signature Champagne cocktail. She was a loving wife, mother, adoring GiGi to 7 grandsons and a soon to be grand daughter, a good friend, a sister, a wonderful aunt and a great aunt. She tended her garden and although she could no longer take long walks with David and her Lakeland terrier Millie, she never dwelt on the distress she was experiencing, communicating through the ipad, and the iphone. For her 67th birthday in March she organised the most wonderful celebration in her local pub for family and close friends knowing that this may be the last chance to share her generosity. Her last hospital visit was to donate her blood for genetic research into MND. When her chest muscles could no longer keep her breathing we kept her wish that she remained at home and were privileged to wrap her in a blanket of love, as she had done for us so often, and 6 days later our Mighty Atom gave in and submitted to the inevitable.
